How Strict Is Lufthansa With Carry on Luggage?

Lufthansa airlines are slightly strict with its carry on allowance.

In addition to your carry on allowance you are also allowed to carry an extra item   that can be a handbag, laptop bag or other item that must not exceed the following dimensions  (max. height=30 cm length=40 cm width=10 cm.

Lufthansa also allows free transport of a pushchair or baby basket. Disabled Guests are allowed free transport of two wheelchairs or other mobility aids in addition to their free baggage allowance.

  • For larger items of carry-on baggage, such as trolley cases, please use the overhead locker above your seat
  • Please stow your personal items, such as laptop bags, shopping bags or handbags, under the seat in front of you.
