Carry On Baggage

Falcon Gold Ticket Business:

If you are travelling with Gulf Air On flacon gold business class you are allowed the following carry on baggage:

  • One bag (maximum dimensions 22 x 16 x 12 in/55 x 40 x 30 cm)
  • or One garment carrier (maximum width 8 in/20 cm)
  • plus One briefcase (maximum dimensions 17 x 15 x 12 in/43 x 38 x 30 cm)
  • Maximum total weight: 20 lb/9 kg
Economy Class:
  • One bag (maximum dimensions 17 x 15 x 12 in/45 x 40 x 30 cm)
  • Maximum Weight: 13 lb/6 kg
Infants not occupying a seat and paying 10% of the applicable fare:
  • One bag (maximum dimensions 18 x 14 x 8 in/44 x 35 x 20 cm)
  • Maximum Weight: 7 lb/3 kg

How strict is Gulf Air with carry on baggage?

Gulf Air carry on baggage are slightly strict,your luggage needs to adhere to the airlines carry on baggage policies size and weight, so you carry your luggage on board.

oversized baggage or overweight baggaeg may cause you additional fees or make your luggage subject to be on hold.

Checked Baggage

Your Checked baggae depend on the class you have tikcet for, your destination and your loyality to the airline.

  • If you are a Gulf Air Falcon Gold Guests, you can benefit from a generous allowance of two checked bags of 32 kg each. 
  • All Falconflyer members with a Falcon Gold Redemption Program ticket will also benefit from two checked bags of 32 kg each.
  • If you want to take more on checked baggage and booked on a Gulf Air “Smart Economy” and “Economy Flex” fares will benefit from a two checked baggage allowance of 23 kg each. 
  • Falconflyer economy class buy-back program tickets will also have two checked bags of 23 kg each.
  • For budget Guests,Gulf Air “Light Economy” tickets allow Guests a free check-in baggage allowance of 23 kg.

Special Items

When flying with your sports equipment, musical instruments or special baggage Gulf Air provides a free baggage allwoance. 

Each item must not exceed the maximum linear dimensions of 158cm. Excess baggage charges will apply to articles exceeding these limitations.

The permitted items are described as follows:

Zamzam WaterA maximum of 5 kgs of Zamzam Water can be checked-in. Kindly ensure that all items are wrapped/packaged securely (this service is provided in the departure area of Jeddah and Madinah airports).
A total not exceeding 5 kgs, will be carried free of charge in addition to your existing baggage allowance
Bicycles
One non-motorised bicycle, which must be placed in a specially designed protective bag, case or cardboard box. Pedals must be removed, handlebars fixed in line with the frame and tyres must be deflated to avoid potential damage. The bicycle box, not exceeding 15 kgs, will be carried free of charge in addition to your existing baggage allowance.

Golf Clubs
One golf bag containing one set of clubs, balls, one pair of golf shoes and one umbrella, which all must be packed within a specially designed golf travel bag. 
The golf bag, not exceeding 15 kgs, will be carried free of charge in addition to your existing baggage allowance
Ski Equipment
Snow boards: one snowboard plus boots in a purpose designed board bag. 
Snow skis: one pair of skis and poles in a purpose designed ski bag in addition to one pair of ski boots in a boot bag.
SCUBA Diving EquipmentScuba diving equipment may contain up to one empty cylinder tank
and harness, one regulator, one tank pressure gauge, one mask, snorkel, a pair of fins, one Buoyancy Control Device (BCD), one diving lamp (disconnected or battery removed).
Please note the cylinder tank must be empty, with the regulators removed and valves placed in open position.The equipment not exceeding 15 KGs, will be carried free of charge in addition to your free baggage allowance
