How Strict Is SunExpress With Carry On Baggage?
Cabin baggage which exceeds the permitted dimensions and weight at the check-up at the gate prior to boarding, can either be refused or transported in the hold of the aircraft against payment, depending on the airport of departure.
items must be transported as checked baggage. It is not allowed to carry sharp and pointed objects (e.g. jack-knives, nail scissors, knitting needles, etc.) in carry-on pieces.
Should such items be confiscated during the security check of carry-on items, it is usually not possible anymore to check in items as hold baggage. Passengers must then do without these items. Important documents, valuable items and medications should not be transported in check-in baggage, but only in carry-on pieces.
Checked Baggage Allowance
International flights
Guests travelling on On international SunExpress flights, each guest is allowed a baggage allowance of 20 to 40 kg, depending on the SunFare tarif booked.

Infants baggage
Infants under 2 years are allowed to have 20 kg of baggage allowance; Pushchairs / buggies, travel cots and child car seats may be stored in the hold free of charge.
If your baggage exceed SunExpress baggage allowance policy, an fee from 10 Euros per kilogram and route is applied
Please note that due to EU regulations, each item of luggage must not weigh more than 32 kg. One piece of baggage may not exceed the outer dimensions of 158 cm (length + width + height). If the respective size limits are exceeded, a flat fee will be charged.
Domestic flights
For domestic flights the baggage allowance is between 15 and 25 kg – depending on which fare (SunFares) you have chosen.

For domestic flights free baggage allowance for infants is 15 kg. any excess baggage on all flights an additional charge of 20.- TL / kg will be applied for each flight.
Excess And Oversize Baggage Fees
International flights
- For all additional weight, an excess baggage rate from 10.- Euro per kg for one way is charged in a flight.
- If the permitted size for baggage is exceeded (larger than 158 cm), a fee of 45.00 € per piece of luggage will be charged at the check-in counter.
Domestic flights within Turkey
- An excess baggage fee of 20.- TL/kg is charged for a one way flight.
- If the permitted size for baggage is exceeded (larger than 158 cm), a fee of 45 TL per piece of luggage will be charged at the check-in counter.

What To Carry As Sports Equipment
On all flights SunExpress can carry the pieces of sports equipment mentioned here at the fees indicated.
The charge is valid up to 30kg; any other additional items will be counted as excess baggage and a 10 € per way at the check-in will be added.
