Eva air have a friendly carry on luggage allowance :
Royal Laurel/Premium Laurel/Business Class Guests are allowed to carry on board two pieces of hand luggage free of charge and must not exceed 7 kg/15 lb and with the following dimensions 23 x 36 x 56 cm /9 x 14 x 22 in or total of 115 cm/45 in (personal item is not applied to this regulation).
Premium Economy / Economy Class Guests are allowed to carry one-piece weighing 7 kg/15 lb and not exceed 23 x 36 x 56 cm /9 x 14 x 22 in or total of 115 cm/45 in (personal item is not applied to this regulation).
Eva air provides a measurement test unit at either the check-in counter or boarding lounge to help you to determine whether your baggage meets these requirements.
Please note that: If your hand-carry baggage is overweight or oversize, it will be checked and carried in the cargo hold or refused carriage
In addition to your hand luggage you are allowed to carry also one personal item and free of charge that must fit under the seat in front of you and not exceeds the dimension 40 x 30 x 10 cm /16 x 12 x 4 in or total linear dimensions 80 cm/32 or can be one of the following items below:
- a purse
- a small backpack or
- a briefcase or
- a camera case or
- rain gear (umbrella, raincoat) or
- a limited amount of duty-free merchandise
- A laptop in thin satchel-style laptop bag is considered to be a personal item. A laptop in a larger laptop bag will be counted as part of a guest’s hand-carry allowance.

In general Eva can be strict about its baggage allowance and policies, especially if you show up with a large suitcase.

|What am I not allowed to take in checked baggage?|
|You can not take any dangerous goods that can endanger the aircraft, persons or property on board the aircraft. Items prohibited by the laws, regulations or orders of all countries in your travel itinerary. Items identified by EVA as unsuitable for carriage because of weight, size or character. Live animals, with the exceptions of dogs, cats, household birds and seeing eye/hearing aid dogs being safely transported in accordance with EVA requirements. Firearms and ammunition for other than hunting or sporting purposes are prohibited as baggage. Fragile or perishable items, money, jewelry, precious metal, silverware, negotiable papers, securities or other valuables, business documents, prototypes, paintings… etc., should not be packed in checked baggage.|
|Can I buy a seat in the cabin for my baggage?|
|You can carry fragile, bulky items and/or musical instruments etc. into the cabin with you if the required number of additional seats are reserved and paid for in advance. |What should I do if my baggage is delayed, lost or damaged?|
|As soon as you discover your baggage has been missed or delayed, stolen, lost and damaged, please contact the EVA Air Baggage Service Office for further service. Claimed for delayed, lost and missing item(s) must be submitted within twenty-one (21) days. Claims for damaged baggage must be submitted within seven (7) days.
