How strict is Brussels Airlines with Carry on luggage?

  • Your Carry-on baggage must fit in the overhead bin or under the seat in front of you. On the emergency exit row, it must be stowed away in the overhead bin for safety reasons.
  • Even though the airline allows hand baggage on board, there may be limited storage space in the cabin (e.g. small aircraft, full flight, etc.). In this case, Brussels will stow your hand baggage in the hold for free. Upon arrival, you can pick up your hand baggage on the baggage belt.

  • Max. 32kg (= standard allowance of 23kg + 9kg overweight, or the standard free allowance for Business Class)
